About Us
Legion Bloodstock is a full-service bloodstock agency formed in 2021 by friends Kyle Zorn, Travis Durr, and Kristian Villante. Zorn is the director of sales for Hagyard Pharmacy in Central Kentucky and before working the sales Zorn was the racing manager for owner Maribeth Sanford, Villante; a former assistant to Todd Pletcher and Durr; owner and operator at Travis Durr Training Center in South Carolina. The trio first crossed paths at the sales and when they kept landing on the same horses they decided to combine forces to develop Legion Bloodstock and their own racing syndicate Legion Racing.
The group selects quality prospects for their clients, provides racing management, facilitates private sales, and pinhooking ventures. Legion has hit the ground running with successful purchases winning all over the country.
Nearly all of Legion's purchases are sent directly to Travis Durr's training center after the sales which is a big part of what has made Legion so successful in its inaugural years. Not only does Durr have an intimate knowledge of each horse and can place them with trainers that might fit their style, but he can also give his partners an inside look at the type of horses their program could benefit from buying.
Villante who lives in Ocala is vigilant when it comes to staying on top of the two-year-old market and has an unbelievable eye for finding good pedigrees and good horses. Zorn grew up in Louisville and worked under trainer Pat Byrne before making the switch to sales and marketing. They each bring extensive knowledge in their area of expertise and are a team with every single facet of their business.

“Our group has grown and taken the strides it has taken because of the relationships we have with one another and with our trainers. Everyone has the same common goal. It's not really one of us carrying the team. It's all of us pulling the rope the same direction.”
