Whit Beckman grew up in Louisville and got his first horse racing job at iconic Churchill Downs. He worked as an assistant to Hall of Fame trainers Todd Pletcher and Chad Brown and also gained experience in Saudi Arabia before starting his own stable in 2021.

Beckman enjoyed success in 2023 with Harlan Estate, his first stakes winner, and in November with Honor Marie, his first graded stakes winner. That Honor Code colt won the Grade 2 Kentucky Jockey Club Stakes at Churchill Downs to emerge as a prospect for the 2024 Kentucky Derby Presented by Woodford Reserve.
